Hi guys!! Today I am sharing one of my all time favorite Halloween card. I absolutely LOVE the end result. I used the monster reunion stamp set from Stampers Anonymous. I absolutely love this kind of artwork, and it makes me go out of my comfort zone since I am used to have cute critters on my cards.
For this project, I started by cutting a watercolor cardstock panel 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. I used Canson XL watercolor cardstock. After that, I used hickory smoke, black soot and cracked pistachio in distress oxide sprays to add color to my panel. As always, I spray a first time all of my colors, I dry it with my heat tool and then spray again until I like the result.
After that, I stamped the spider web bold prints from Hero arts with black soot distress ink. I didn’t want a bold black spider web background, I just wanted a glimpse of it, and this time of ink did just that. I then added splatters of black and cracked pistachio. Then I stamped a spider from a Lime Citron stamp set with the same ink.
Then, I stamped the awesome lady with Versafine onyx black ink because it’s a waterproof ink. For the color, I used antique linen, cracked pistachio, vintage photo and hickory smoke to watercolor on the image.
For the chipboard part, they are from a kit from Lime Citron, and I used my sprays on the stars and on the hocus pocus. Since I do not have the new glitter from Tim Holtz, but I wanted glitter (shocking for me, I know), I used the acrylic paint sparks in the raven black color. I really like the sparks that it gives and it is a “soft” glitter.
After that, I used my prima marketing wings and bones mould to have the skulls. I use the fast cast product to make them because it dries in 10 minutes max. I brushed some of the acrylic paint on them to finish the look.
Overall, I had SO much fun making this card. I wanted to craft with my new spider web stamp set, and it ended on a way bigger project then I thought. This is a style that I always admire, but find hard to make, but this time, I think I really achieved something nice!
Hope you liked my project ! Thank you for visiting me !
