Purple Onion Designs – A happy little place

Hi guys! So today I am sharing my first card made with Purple onion designs. I fell completely in love with their new release from the designer Stacey Yacula. I wanted to make a special card for one of my best friend for her birthday, and since she loves to read, the bookstore was perfect for her.

I started this card by stamping the bookstore, the countryside and the stone wall from the “A happy little place” from Stacey Yacula. They are unmounted red rubber stamps, so I used a clear mounting stamp 4×6 to stamp these stamps with my Tim holts stamping platform. I also added this little bunny from another release, because it was perfect with my scene.

I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo black ink because I wanted to use my copics.

For the copics I used:

  • The bookstore: E51, E41, E31, E33. N1, N5, N7. B000. E18, E15. YG03, YG17. (I was heavily inspired by @bobbihartdesign)
  • The stone wall: E31, E35, E47.
  • The countryside: YG11, Yg03, Yg06. E47. Yg17, Yg67. Y11, YR31 Y17.
  • The bunny: W1, W2, R02

I adde a little bit of white dots on the grass, just to make it look like little flowers.

Finally, I fussy cut the bunny and used a black marker to contour it so no white would sow. I foam mounted it on my scene, and foam mounted my panel on a green cardstock the size of my A2 cardbase (4 1/4 by 51/2).  The sentiment is from my most used sentiment strips from Lime Citron

This simple card was a lot of fun to make, and took a lot more of time than my other projects.

Hope you guys like it ! Thank you for visiting me !
